CHROMATOGRAPHIC
CHAMBER (noun)
 |
The
beaker within which a chromatogram
is developed. The beaker contains a few mL of the solvent to be used
as the carrier
phase, and the chromatographic
plate is then placed upright in the beaker, leaning against
the inner wall. A watch
glass is placed over the beaker to cover it and prevent the
solvent from evaporating. | |
