A student will receive zero for any laboratory that he/she misses unless he/she presents the Instructor with a note stating the date of the missed laboratory and the circumstances. If possible, the student must make up the missed laboratory "within the scheduled time for that particular experiment". However, watch the schedule very carefully; once an experiment has finished, it is over and a makeup is virtually impossible to arrange. No student can work in the laboratory outside his/her regularly scheduled period unless the student has written permission from the Instructor. A student will not be allowed for any reason to make up more than one lab period during this course. When you arrive at the lab to do a makeup, that has been prearranged with the Instructor, you must see the Instructor first, obtain a permission slip to do the makeup and then show that slip to the supervising T.A. in the area that you are assigned to work in.
